Online Guided Self-Help for Adolescent Anorexia Nervosa
This study is comparing two ways to treat Anorexia Nervosa (AN) in adolescents: Online Guided Self-Help Family-based Treatment (GSH-FBT) and Family-Based Treatment via Videoconferencing (FBT-V). GSH-FBT involves 10 online sessions for parents over 9 months, using videos from an expert and a recovered adolescent. FBT-V involves 15 videoconference sessions with a therapist. The study aims to see if GSH-FBT is as effective as FBT-V, but more efficient. You may be able to join if you are 12-18 years old, live with family, speak English, have internet access, and meet criteria for AN. Success will be measured by how much a participant's weight improves compared to the therapist hours spent. The current recruitment status is unclear.

What this trial measures
- Ratio of therapist hours to %EBW changeAssessed from baseline through end of treatment (EOT)
The investigators will compare GSH-FBT and FBT-V groups at EOT in terms of the change in %EBW from baseline divided by total therapist time utilized. Estimated Body Weight (EBW) percentages used will be calculated using Center for Disease Control metrics in children and adolescents. Total therapist time utilized will be collected based on video records of actual sessions spent with participants.
