Bright Light Therapy for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

This study is looking at whether bright light therapy can help people with Crohn's disease (CD) or ulcerative colitis (UC), which are types of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Researchers believe that using a special device called a Bright Light Therapy Retimer in the morning might improve gut health and quality of life. You could be eligible if you are 18 or older, have a confirmed diagnosis of CD or UC, and have some signs of inflammation (like a fecal calprotectin level above 50 or a high CRP). You also need to be on a stable dose of your current IBD medication for at least 12 weeks. The study will measure changes in how easily things pass through your gut (intestinal permeability) and your gut bacteria after 15 weeks.
