Scopolamine for Memory Processing in Epilepsy Patients
This study aims to understand how scopolamine, a drug that affects brain chemicals, impacts memory and brain activity in people with epilepsy. Researchers want to see if scopolamine (0.4mg) changes how your brain processes memories, specifically during the time you first learn something or when you try to remember it later. You would receive either scopolamine or a placebo (a saline solution with no active drug) intravenously (through a vein) before completing memory tasks. The study will measure changes in your brain's electrical activity. This study is for adults aged 18-55 who are already undergoing brain monitoring for epilepsy. The study is currently unclear on its status and plans to enroll 60 participants.
