NPWTi for Chronic Pressure Sores

This study is looking at how well a device called the V.A.C.Ulta™ Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System helps close chronic pressure sores (bedsores). This system uses suction to help wounds heal. We are comparing it to standard care, which uses wet-to-dry dressings. We hope to see if the V.A.C.Ulta™ system is more effective at healing pressure sores after they have been cleaned. You may be able to join if you are 18 or older and have a stage 3 or 4 pressure sore on your ischial or sacral area that can be sealed well. The study aims to see how long it takes for your wound to close, measured for up to 3 months. The current recruitment status is unclear.
