Transcutaneous Magnetic Stimulation for Ventricular Tachycardia Storm
This study is testing if Transcutaneous Magnetic Stimulation (TcMS) can help people experiencing Ventricular Tachycardia (VT) Storm. VT Storm means you've had three or more episodes of fast heartbeats (VT) or received shocks from your implanted defibrillator within 24 hours, even while taking heart medication. The study will compare two ways of giving TcMS to a sham (inactive) treatment. You might be able to join if you are 18 or older, have VT Storm, and don't have certain medical conditions like a plan for heart ablation in the next 24 hours or metal in your head or neck. The researchers want to see if TcMS reduces how often you experience VT within 24 hours after treatment. The current recruitment status is unclear.
- Study design
- This is a three-arm randomized clinical trial with 60 planned participants. It compares two types of Transcutaneous Magnetic Stimulation (TcMS) to a sham stimulation.
- What's involved
- Not specified in the trial record.
- Compensation
- Not stated in the trial record.
- Follow-up
- Participants will be followed for 24 hours after randomization to measure the burden of VT.
