Cardiac Rehabilitation for Stroke Survivors (SRP-CROSS)
This study is looking at whether a cardiac rehabilitation program can help people who have had a stroke recover better. The program involves 36 sessions of supervised exercise, monitored by nurses. We want to see if this program, when added to standard care, improves how well people can function, reduces hospital readmissions, lowers the chance of another stroke, and decreases death rates. You can join if you are 18 or older, have had an ischemic (clot) or hemorrhagic (bleed) stroke, and your heart doctor says you are healthy enough for the exercise program. The main way we'll measure success is by looking at how far you can walk in six minutes, comparing it from 30 days after your stroke to 120 days after your stroke. The current status of this study is unclear.
