FES BPET-DBT Imaging for Newly Diagnosed Breast Cancer

This study is looking at a new way to image breast cancer using a special device that combines two imaging techniques: dedicated Breast Positron Emission Tomography (BPET) and Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT). You would receive an injection of a radioactive tracer called [18F]-Fluoroestradiol (FES) before the imaging. This study is for women aged 18 or older who have recently been diagnosed with estrogen-receptor (ER) positive breast cancer and have at least one tumor that is 1.0 cm or larger. Researchers want to see how well the FES BPET-DBT imaging works to show the cancer and the quality of the images. Up to 20 participants are planned for this study, but the current recruitment status is unclear.
