They will use several tests, including Arterial Tonometry (to measure artery stiffness), Echocardiograms (heart ultrasound), Carotid Ultrasounds (neck artery ultrasound), Elastography (to measure artery elasticity), and Ankle-Brachial Index (to check blood flow in your legs and arms). The main goal is to see differences in arterial thickness, stiffness, and baroreflex sensitivity (how your body controls blood pressure) at the start of the study.
