Yoga & Meditation for Adolescent Irritable Bowel Syndrome
This study is exploring if a special yoga and meditation program can help teenagers and young adults (ages 12-21) with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). IBS is a common cause of stomach pain in children, often leading to stress and anxiety. The study will test a 6-week, at-home program called "Standardized Yoga & Meditation Program for Stress Reduction (SYMPro-SR)" that you would follow twice a week using videos. Researchers want to see if this program can reduce anxiety, improve IBS symptoms, and boost your overall quality of life. They will measure these changes before and after the 6-week program. This study is looking for 10 participants who are patients at Cooper Pediatric Gastroenterology in Camden or Voorhees, NJ, have an IBS diagnosis, and can access the internet to watch the yoga videos.
