Remote Smoking Cessation for Heart Patients
This study is looking at new ways to help people who have been hospitalized for a heart event (like a heart attack or bypass surgery) quit smoking. Researchers want to see if offering financial rewards for not smoking, combined with Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) to help with withdrawal, can help these patients stop smoking. You could be eligible if you're over 18, live within 30 miles of UVMMC, and were recently hospitalized for a heart event. The main goal is to see if participants are still smoke-free after 3 months, which will be checked with a biochemical test. The study plans to enroll 50 participants.
- Study design
- This is an interventional study, meaning participants will receive a specific treatment. It plans to enroll 50 participants.
- What's involved
