NYC Cancer Outreach Network for Breast, Cervical, and Colorectal Cancer Screening
This study, called NYC CONNECT, is looking at ways to help people get screened for breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer. It compares two approaches: one uses educational materials and community health workers (CHWs) to help you navigate to screening and social services (Patient Navigation - More Intensive), and the other uses educational materials and CHWs to help with social services only (Patient Navigation - Less Intensive). The goal is to see which approach is better at increasing cancer screening rates. You might be able to join if you are between 21 and 75 years old and are due for a mammogram, Pap smear, HPV test, or colorectal cancer screening. The study will measure how many participants receive at least one cancer screening within 6 months of joining.
