FEED-Cystic Fibrosis (FEED-CF) Diet Study

This study, called FEED-CF, is looking at how diet affects people with cystic fibrosis (CF). Many adults with CF develop diabetes, and the typical high-calorie, high-fat CF diet might play a role in this. Researchers want to see if a low-added sugar, high-fat diet can improve diabetes risk and reduce fat around organs (visceral fat) compared to a standard CF diet. You might be able to join if you have a confirmed CF diagnosis, are 18 or older, and consume more than 16 teaspoons of added sugar daily. The study will measure changes in your body's insulin response and visceral fat over 8 weeks. The current status of this study is unclear.

Study design
This study plans to enroll 60 participants. You would be randomly assigned to either a low-added sugar, high-fat diet or a high-added sugar, high-fat CF diet.
