Becoming United in Lifestyle Decisions: An Online Couples Weight Loss Program
This study, called "Becoming United in Lifestyle Decisions," is looking for couples to join an online weight loss program. It aims to improve how well an online program helps couples lose weight. Researchers will test different strategies in addition to a core weight loss program, including: Dyadic Action Planning (couples plan together), Joint Feedback (couples see each other's progress), Autonomy Support Training (learning to support each other), and Home Environment Modifications (changing your home to support healthy habits). To join, you and your partner must be between 18 and 75 years old, have a BMI (Body Mass Index) between 25-55 kg/m2, speak English, have a smartphone and internet, and be willing to video chat. The main goal is to see changes in body weight over 6 months.
