Cognitive Strategies for Weight Loss Study

This study is looking for adults aged 18 to 70 with obesity (BMI between 25 and 45) who have regular internet access. It compares three different 12-month online behavioral weight loss programs: Standard Behavioral Weight Loss Intervention, PREVENT Behavioral Weight Loss Intervention (focused on preventing future negative consequences of obesity), and PROMOTE Behavioral Weight Loss Intervention (focused on promoting future benefits of maintaining a healthy weight). The main goal is to see which program leads to the most weight loss at 3, 6, and 12 months, and to understand how behaviors like diet and exercise differ between the groups. Researchers also want to identify what individual characteristics predict success and if there are any negative effects like depression or body image concerns.
