Study on Falls-Risk Screening in the Emergency Department

Researchers will look at existing health records from about 30,000 patients aged 65 and older who were discharged from the ED. The goal is to see if patients referred through this tool have fewer falls and fall-related injuries in the six months after their ED visit, compared to the 12 months before. This study will also explore why some patients might not complete their clinic referrals.
