YOOMI: Gamified Physical Therapy for Hospitalized Patients

This study is testing a new computer software called Yoomi Physical Therapy Software. It uses games to help hospitalized patients do physical therapy exercises. The goal is to see if this fun approach can help patients move more and prevent muscle weakness that often happens during a hospital stay, especially when staff can't always assist. You might be able to join if you are 65 or older, speak English, and can give your consent. Doctors will also check if you can safely do in-bed exercises. The study will measure how satisfied patients are with the software, how much they use it, and how many exercises they complete each day.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusion

\>= 65 years of age
English-fluency in reading and speaking
Capacity to consent
Enrolled in HELP program
Attending physician confirms there are no medical contraindications to in-bed exercises

Exclusion

Unstable Psychiatric Illness
Unstable/Critically Ill Patients requiring ICU-level of care
Surgical tube present (e.g. JP drains)
Surgery during the hospitalization
