Many people in Brazil with mental health conditions don't get the care they need, even with available services. The researchers believe that by adapting a proven peer support model to Brazilian culture, more people will get involved in their care, have better ongoing support, and see improvements in their quality of life and well-being. This study will measure changes in how engaged people are with their care at the start, and then again after 6 and 9 months. You may be able to join if you are at least 18 years old and receiving acute care services in Campinas, Brazil.
