Mobile App Exercise Intervention for Pregnant Women

This study is testing a mobile app called BumptUp to see if it helps pregnant and postpartum women in rural areas be more physically active. You would either use the BumptUp app, which has features to help with healthy habits during and after pregnancy, or receive an educational brochure about physical activity. The study aims to see if the app improves physical activity levels during different stages of pregnancy and after birth. Researchers will also look at other health measures like weight, diet, blood sugar (glucose tolerance), blood pressure, and mental health. To join, you must be a woman between 18 and 44 years old, have a confirmed single pregnancy, speak English, own a smartphone, and be a patient at specific clinics planning to deliver at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. The current status of this study is unclear.
