Increased Home-based Physical Therapy Adherence Using BAND Connect's VirtuaCare™ Platform for Shoulder Injuries
This study is testing a new device called BAND Connect's VirtuaCare™ platform to see if it can help people stick to their at-home physical therapy exercises after shoulder surgery. Many patients don't fully complete their prescribed exercises at home, which can slow down recovery. The VirtuaCare™ platform uses smart exercise tools to give you instructions and real-time feedback on your form. This study will compare patients using VirtuaCare™ with those receiving standard physical therapy. We want to see if using VirtuaCare™ leads to more completed physical therapy visits over 12 weeks. You may be able to join if you are 18 or older, having specific shoulder surgeries (total shoulder arthroplasty, reverse total shoulder arthroplasty, or rotator cuff repair) performed by Dr. Brian Grawe, and are prescribed outpatient physical therapy at UC Health. The study is planning to enroll 60 participants, but its current status is unclear.
