This study aims to improve colorectal cancer (CRC) screening rates among African Americans in Douglas County, Nebraska. African Americans face higher rates of CRC and lower screening rates. Researchers are giving out free home-based Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) kits at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to 1,200 participants aged 45-75 who are not up-to-date with their CRC screening. Some participants will also see social media ads. The study will measure how many FIT kits are returned within six months. Between 45 and 75 years old
Not up-to-date with colorectal cancer (CRC) screening per guidelines
Willingness to provide contact information for follow-up
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Current residency in Douglas County, NE.

History of colorectal cancer (CRC)
History of adenomas (precancerous polyps) or inflammatory bowel disease
Family history of colorectal cancer (CRC)
