CD33KO-HSPC and CART-33 for Relapsed/Refractory AML

This study is testing a new treatment for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has come back or hasn't responded to other treatments. It combines a special stem cell transplant (CD33KO-HSPC) with a type of immunotherapy called CAR T-cell therapy (CART-33). First, you would receive modified stem cells from a healthy donor. These modified cells are designed to be "invisible" to the CAR T-cells. Later, you would receive CART-33 cells, also made from the same donor, which are engineered to find and kill your leukemia cells. The study aims to see if this treatment is safe and can be successfully made. You may be eligible if you are 18 or older and have AML that is not likely to be cured by current treatments.

Study design
This is an interventional study with a planned enrollment of 16 participants. It is testing a new treatment approach for AML.
What's involved
Not specified in the trial record.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
The study will track the occurrence of side effects related to CD33KO-HSPC for 3 months and related to CART-33 for 6 months.
