FIESTA Intervention for Stress in Immigrant Latinx Families

This study is testing a new group program called FIESTA (Familias Inmigrantes Empoderándose contra eStrés Tomando Acción). FIESTA is a 10-session program led by community health workers that helps Latinx immigrant families manage stress, improve family communication, and navigate community resources. The goal is to see how well FIESTA helps families deal with stress caused by structural racism, which includes things like fear of deportation or discrimination. We are looking for Latina immigrant mothers (over 18) and their Latinx adolescent children (ages 14-17) to join. We will measure stress levels and mental health to see if FIESTA is helpful. The study is currently unclear on its recruitment status.
