rTMS and Virtual Reality for Mild Cognitive Impairment

This study is testing if a combination of brain stimulation (rTMS, or repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and brain training using virtual reality (iVCT) can improve memory, mood, and daily functioning in older adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). You might be able to join if you are 55 or older and have a previous diagnosis of MCI. The researchers want to see if this combined treatment helps more than rTMS alone or usual care. The main way they will measure success is by looking at changes in your verbal learning scores over time. The current recruitment status is unclear.

Study design
This is an interventional study planning to enroll 50 participants, with 30 eligible participants being randomly assigned to one of three groups: rTMS, rTMS+iVCT, or a control group receiving usual care.
What's involved
If eligible, you would have a baseline assessment, then receive rTMS or rTMS+iVCT treatment daily for 5 days a week for 2 weeks. You would then have follow-up assessments at 2 weeks and 3 months after treatment.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
You will be followed for 3 months after treatment to assess changes in your cognitive, emotional, and functional abilities.
