ACT Intervention for Type 2 Diabetes Management in Rural Communities

This study is looking at new ways to help people in rural areas manage their Type 2 Diabetes. It tests an approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps you accept difficult feelings and focus on actions that align with your values. This therapy is combined with the Abbott FreeStyle® Libre® 3, a device that continuously monitors your blood sugar, and general education about lifestyle choices for diabetes. The main goal is to see if this combination can lower your Hemoglobin A1C (a measure of average blood sugar over 2-3 months) after one year. You might be able to join if you are 18 or older, have Type 2 Diabetes with an A1C of 6.0 or higher, speak English, have a smartphone, and live in a rural area.

Study design
This is an interventional study planning to enroll 60 participants. It is designed as a randomized controlled trial, comparing different combinations of interventions.
