Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation (tACS) for Aphasia After Stroke
This study is looking at how a type of brain stimulation called transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) might help people with aphasia (difficulty with language) after a stroke. Researchers want to see if applying HD-tACS (High Definition tACS) during speech therapy can improve language recovery. You might be able to join if you are 18 or older, have aphasia from a left-sided stroke, and your stroke happened at least one month ago. The study will measure improvements in your ability to accurately complete a language task and look at brain activity using fMRI (functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) after treatment.
