ACHIEVE PATHFINDER: Portable Air Cleaners for Heart Failure

This study, called ACHIEVE PATHFINDER, is testing if portable air cleaners (PACs) can help people with heart failure (HF) after they leave the hospital. You would receive two PACs: either ones with special True HEPA filters or ones without filters (a control group). Researchers want to see if using these PACs for 90 days impacts your NTproBNP level, a marker for heart failure. You might be able to join if you are 18 or older, are currently in the emergency room or hospitalized for heart failure, or have a recent heart failure diagnosis with specific biomarker levels (BNP >200 ng/L or NTproBNP >1000 ng/L). The study is currently unclear on its recruitment status.

Study design
This is a randomized, blinded study involving 400 participants. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive PACs with filters or PACs without filters.
