Embolization Treatment for Chronic Shoulder Tendinopathy
This study is looking at a new way to treat ongoing shoulder pain caused by tendinopathy (tendon damage), especially when other treatments haven't worked. It's comparing a procedure called transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) with physical therapy (PT) to physical therapy alone. TAE involves blocking tiny blood vessels in your shoulder that might be causing pain, using a device with Lipiodol. You could join if you're 21-80 years old, have moderate to severe shoulder pain (VAS score above 40), and your pain hasn't improved after at least 6 months of other treatments like physical therapy or injections. The main goal is to see how much your shoulder pain changes after 12 months with these treatments.
