This study is looking at whether a special drink called Fortified Oral Rehydration Therapy, which has less sugar and added amino acids, can help children with acute gastroenteritis (AGE), also known as stomach flu or diarrhea, get better faster than the standard drink (Standard of Care Oral Rehydration Therapy). We want to see if the fortified drink can reduce how long and how severe the diarrhea is. Children between 6 months and 5 years old who have mild to moderate diarrhea for less than two days might be able to join. The study will compare how often and how much stool children produce, and how long their diarrhea lasts, for up to 14 days. The study is currently unclear on its recruitment status and plans to enroll 72 children.
