TEAM Study: Positive Airway Pressure for Mucus Plugs in Asthma and COPD

This study is looking at whether using positive pressure during breathing helps a medication called n-acetylcysteine (NAC) better reach and break down mucus plugs in the lungs of people with asthma or COPD. NAC is a mucolytic drug (helps clear mucus), and albuterol is a bronchodilator (helps open airways). The study will compare delivering NAC with a standard nebulizer to delivering it with the AeroEclipse-VersaPAP System, which adds positive pressure during inhalation. Researchers want to see if this positive pressure delivery reduces mucus plugs and improves lung function. You can join if you are 18-85 years old and have asthma or COPD.
