Family Intervention for Black Teens With Type 1 Diabetes
This study is testing two different approaches to help Black teenagers with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) manage their condition better. One approach is called The 3Ms 2.0 Intervention, which uses a mobile app to help parents monitor their teen's diabetes care. The other is an Educational Attention Control (EAC) intervention, which provides general information about T1D through a mobile app. The main goal is to see if these interventions improve blood sugar control (glycemic control) in teens and improve family relationships related to diabetes. We are also looking at how much stress parents feel about their teen's diabetes. You may be able to join if you are a Black teenager with T1D, aged 10-14, and have a parent willing to participate and who has an internet-enabled device.
