RemI for Post-Bariatric Surgery Weight Regain
This study is testing a remotely-delivered Acceptance-Based Behavioral Intervention (ABTi) for people who have regained at least 5% of their weight after bariatric (weight-loss) surgery. ABTi helps you develop acceptance and mindfulness skills to manage uncomfortable feelings that might lead to unhealthy eating. You could join if you are 18-70 years old, had gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy 6 to 48 months ago, and have regained weight. The study aims to see if ABTi helps reverse weight regain and improve weight control behaviors. Participants will be randomly assigned to either receive ABTi or a control group that gets phone calls about diet and behavior changes. The study's current status is unclear.
