Trauma-Informed Guilt Reduction Therapy for Veterans with PTSD

This study is comparing two behavioral therapies for U.S. Veterans who have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and trauma-related guilt. The therapies are Trauma-Informed Guilt Reduction (TrIGR) Therapy and Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy. Researchers want to see if TrIGR Therapy is as effective as PE Therapy in reducing PTSD symptoms, improving daily functioning, and decreasing depression. They also want to see if TrIGR Therapy is better at reducing trauma-related guilt and shame. You may be able to join if you are a Veteran aged 18 or older who served since Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom, have PTSD, and experience significant trauma-related guilt. The study aims to enroll 158 participants, but its current status is unclear.
