Observational Study of Adaptive DBS During Exercise in Parkinson's Disease

This study is looking at how exercise affects brain signals in people with Parkinson's disease (PD) who have a specific type of deep brain stimulation (DBS) device. Researchers will use your PerceptTM PC neurostimulator to detect brain signals called Local Field Potentials from the subthalamic nucleus (STN). They want to see if adaptive DBS (aDBS), which adjusts stimulation based on these signals, can help reduce Parkinson's symptoms that might get worse during and after exercise. The main goal is to identify a specific brain signal, called L-beta frequency peak power, after 4 weeks. You can join if you are 20 to 70 years old, have PD, and have both a Medtronic DBS Sensight implant and a Percept IPG. The study plans to enroll 10 participants.
