Virtual Reality for Alcohol Use Disorder Recovery

This study is testing a new way to help people recovering from Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) using Virtual Reality (VR). You would experience a virtual park, sometimes with an avatar (a digital representation of yourself). The researchers want to see if this VR experience can help reduce alcohol use, increase the time you stay sober, and help you think more about your future. They are looking for 500 participants, aged 18 to 60, who have been sober for at least 14 days but less than a year, are committed to recovery, and can understand English. The study will measure changes in alcohol use and abstinence at different times over six months.
