Weight Loss and Exercise for Post-stroke Veterans
This study is looking at how a 15-week weight management program called FOCUS-15 Lifestyle Management Program, along with exercise training, can help Veterans who have had a stroke. Researchers believe that losing weight and exercising could improve physical and emotional well-being for these Veterans. You might be able to join if you are a Veteran between 40 and 80 years old, had a stroke at least 6 months ago, have a BMI (Body Mass Index) over 30 kg/m2, and have some weakness in your leg from the stroke. The main goal is to see if these interventions improve how far you can walk in 6 minutes after about 15 weeks. The current status of this study is unclear, and it plans to enroll 99 participants.
