Wound Irrigation With Saline Versus Hypodilute-chlorhexidine After Cesarean Section (WISHES Study)
This study is looking at ways to improve wound healing after a cesarean section (C-section). It compares two methods of cleaning the wound: using normal saline (saltwater) or using Irrisept. Irrisept is a special rinse that contains a very low concentration of chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG), an antiseptic. The study wants to see which method leads to better wound healing up to 8 weeks after surgery. You may be able to join if you are 18 or older, having a planned C-section at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, and have certain medical conditions like obesity or diabetes.
