Theta Burst TMS for Methamphetamine Use Disorder
This study is testing if a treatment called Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) can help people with Methamphetamine Use Disorder. TMS uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific brain areas. You would receive 5 daily TMS sessions or sham-TMS (a fake treatment) by chance, like flipping a coin. Researchers will measure if your craving for stimulants goes down and if your urine drug screens become negative. To join, you must be 18-55 years old, actively struggling with Methamphetamine Use Disorder, and already in the Carilion Clinic Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) program. You cannot be struggling with alcohol or benzodiazepine use. This study is currently unclear on its recruitment status and plans to enroll 40 people.

- This is an interventional study with 40 participants. It is a randomized, blinded study, meaning you have an equal chance of receiving TMS or sham-TMS, and neither you nor the study doctor will know which you are getting.
