Breast Cancer Screening for Individuals on Hormone Therapy
This study is looking at breast cancer screening for people who are taking hormone therapy. It aims to understand how well screening methods like mammograms and ultrasounds work for you, and to learn about your experiences and any challenges you face during screening. The study will also gather information about your hormone therapy and family cancer history. We are looking for individuals aged 30 to 75, of all genders. This includes males aged 40-75 who have been on estrogen or progesterone hormone therapy for at least 9 months, and females aged 40-75 who have used testosterone hormone therapy (even if they've had a cosmetic mastectomy, but not a full mastectomy). The study will measure callback and biopsy rates after screening, and explore your physical, cognitive, and emotional experiences, as well as any barriers to screening, over 3.5 years.
