Study for Prediabetes, Obesity, and Heart Disease Risk

This study is looking for people with prediabetes (blood sugar levels higher than normal but not yet diabetes) and obesity. Researchers want to see if different treatments can help lower blood sugar, reduce weight, and decrease the risk of heart problems. You would receive one of several treatments: Rybelsus Tablet, Jardiance 25Mg Tablet, Metformin, Actos, or a placebo (an inactive pill). The main goal is to see how these treatments affect your Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), which is a measure of your average blood sugar over the past few months. To join, you need to be at least 18 years old, have a BMI between 25-40, and have specific HbA1c and kidney function levels. The study is currently unclear on its recruitment status and plans to enroll 64 participants.

Study design
This is an interventional study with 64 planned participants. You would be assigned to one of four treatment groups, and only the study team would know which group you are in (single-blinded).
What's involved
You would attend approximately 16 visits over about 6-7 months. These visits do not require overnight stays at the hospital.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Your Hemoglobin A1c level will be measured at the beginning and again at 6 months.
