Evaluating Adenoma Recurrence After Endoscopic Mucosal Resection

This study is looking at two ways to prevent colon polyps (adenomas) from growing back after they've been removed. Researchers are comparing endoscopic mucosal resection with margin marking (EMR-MM) to endoscopic mucosal resection with thermal margin ablation (EMR-STSC). The goal is to see if one method is just as good as the other at preventing polyps from returning. You might be able to join if you are 18 or older, need to have colon polyps removed, and have non-pedunculated polyps (polyps that are flat or slightly raised, not on a stalk) that are 20 mm or larger. The study will measure how many polyps come back within 3 to 12 months after removal. The current status of this study is unclear.

Study design
This is an observational study comparing two different methods of polyp removal in 342 participants. It is a non-inferiority trial, meaning it aims to show one treatment is not worse than another.
What's involved
Not specified in the trial record.

Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Participants will be followed for adenoma recurrence, measured at 3 to 12 months (plus or minus 6 months).
