Observational Study on CALR-mutated MPN Cells

This observational study aims to understand why people with myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) who have a CALR gene mutation might have a different risk of blood clots compared to those with a JAK2 gene mutation. Researchers will look at the levels of two specific proteins, TLR 2 and TLR 4, in blood cells from people with CALR-mutated MPN, people with JAK2-mutated MPN, and healthy individuals. You might be able to join if you are 18 or older, have an MPN diagnosis, and have a CALR gene mutation. The study plans to enroll 35 participants. The main goal is to measure the levels of these proteins after 24 months.

Study design
This is an observational study designed to enroll 35 participants. It compares specific protein levels in people with CALR-mutated MPN, JAK2-mutated MPN, and healthy individuals.
What's involved
If you participate, you will have a research blood collection (about 3 ½ tablespoons) during a standard blood draw. Your medical history and current medications will also be collected once.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
The primary endpoints, which are the expression levels of TLR 2 and TLR 4, will be measured at 24 months.
