Knotless Implants for Hip Arthroscopy Capsular Closure

This study is looking at a new way to close the hip capsule (the tissue surrounding your hip joint) after hip arthroscopy surgery. The hip capsule helps stabilize your hip. During surgery, it's cut and then repaired. Current repairs use knots that can cause irritation or scar tissue. This study is testing a knotless device called Arthrex LoopLocTM, which might reduce these problems and lead to better results. We want to see if this device is better than other ways of closing the capsule. You might be able to join if you are having your first hip arthroscopy, are between 18 and 60 years old, and your doctor plans to use the LoopLocTM device. We will measure your hip function after two years to see if the device is successful.

Study design
This is a multi-center study planning to enroll 80 participants. It compares patients who receive capsular closure with the LoopLocTM device to those who do not.
What's involved
You will have your hip arthroscopy with the LoopLocTM device. You will then follow up with your providers and researchers for two years.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Participants will be followed for two years after their surgery.
