Understanding Blood Flow in Aging Women
This study aims to understand how blood vessels adapt in aging women, focusing on the sympathetic nervous system (which controls many body functions, including blood pressure). Researchers will infuse different medications directly into an artery in your arm, including Norepinephrine, Isoproterenol, Acetylcholine, Nitroprusside, and Estrogen, to see how your blood flow changes. The main goal is to measure how much your forearm blood flow changes during these infusions. You may be able to join if you are a woman between 18 and 70 years old. The study is currently unclear on its recruitment status and plans to enroll 64 participants.
