Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for Alzheimer's Disease and Mild Cognitive Impairment
This study is exploring how a non-invasive brain stimulation called repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) affects memory and brain function. rTMS uses magnetic pulses to gently change activity in a part of your brain involved in memory. We want to see if rTMS can help people with Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment (a condition where memory problems are more noticeable than normal aging), or logopenic progressive aphasia (a type of dementia affecting language). You would receive both active rTMS and a sham (inactive) rTMS over two separate 10-day periods. We will measure changes in your memory and how your brain networks connect using tests and MRI scans. We are looking for about 30 participants between 40 and 99 years old who are native English speakers.
