This study is testing a new approach to help women who are in mental health treatment for trauma-related conditions to start and stick with PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis), a medication that prevents HIV. The study will compare an "Integrated Intervention to Promote PrEP Uptake" – which includes counseling, navigation, and PrEP prescription in an addiction treatment setting – to a "Standard Treatment Condition" where participants receive information and referrals to community partners for PrEP evaluation. We want to see if the new intervention helps more women start PrEP. About 60 women will participate. To join, you must be an HIV-negative woman, 18 or older, in mental health treatment, have a history of trauma, be sexually active with an opposite-sex partner, and not currently using PrEP but eligible for it based on CDC guidelines.
