Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation for Patellofemoral Pain

This study is investigating if a treatment combining transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and exercise can help reduce kneecap pain (Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome or PFP). Researchers want to see if using tDCS, which targets the brain area controlling hip muscles, along with exercise, is more effective at stopping the knee from caving in during movements compared to exercise alone. The study aims to enroll 50 participants between 18 and 45 years old who have had kneecap pain on one side for at least 3 months, and whose knee caves in during functional movements.
