Study of Photobiomodulation for Pain and Healing After Dental Surgery
This study is looking at whether a treatment called Photobiomodulation (PBM) can help reduce pain and improve healing after a type of dental surgery called endodontic microsurgery (EMS). EMS is performed on teeth that have had root canals and still have infection or cysts at the root tip. PBM uses a special laser (660 nm diode laser) to stimulate cells and help them heal. Researchers want to see if PBM can lead to less pain and better healing of the incision (cut) made during surgery. You might be able to join if you are an adult, need endodontic microsurgery, and are generally healthy. The study will measure your pain levels before, during, and about a week after surgery to see if PBM makes a difference.
