Investigating PSMA in Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer

This study is looking at how a specific protein called Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA) shows up in people with metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). Researchers will use two types of PET scans: FDG PET/CT and Pyl PET/CT (using 18F-DCFPyL) to see if PSMA is present in cancer lesions. The goal is to see if PSMA-targeted treatments could be an option for TNBC. You may be eligible if you are a woman aged 18-90 with metastatic TNBC that shows up on an initial FDG PET/CT scan. The study aims to enroll 30 participants and will measure how well the Pyl PET/CT detects lesions compared to FDG PET/CT within 4 weeks.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusion

Female \>= 18 years of age
Patients in distantly metastatic TNBC based on the initial diagnosis biopsy.
Patient should have FDG positive metastatic lesions on the initial PET/CT scan performed in this study to be further included.

Exclusion

Patients with known active other malignancy.
Unable to tolerate PET/CT procedure.
Pregnant or breastfeeding.
Patients with any medical condition that might compromise the safety of subject during PET acquisitions.
