In Vitro Maturation of Human Eggs for Infertility

This study is looking at a fertility treatment called In Vitro Maturation (IVM) for women who are infertile due to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) or who have a good ovarian reserve. IVM involves collecting immature eggs and maturing them in the lab overnight before fertilization, which may require fewer hormones than traditional IVF. The study aims to see how well the eggs mature, how well embryos fertilize and develop, and if it leads to pregnancy. You might be able to join if you are an infertile woman under 38 with PCOS or good ovarian reserve, have an Antral Follicle Count (AFC) greater than 24, AMH greater than 3.5 ng/ml, and a BMI less than 35. The study's current status is unclear.

Study design
This is an interventional study with a planned enrollment of 50 participants. It is not specified if it is randomized or blinded.
What's involved
You will undergo a full IVF workup, a three-day low-dose hormone stimulation, and an egg retrieval. Immature eggs will be matured in the lab, fertilized, and grown into embryos, which will then be biopsied for genetic testing. The study also includes preparation for and your first frozen embryo transfer.
Compensation
Participants who qualify will receive a free cycle of IVM treatment, including a new patient consultation, fertility testing, preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies (PGT-A), anesthesia, some medication, and some frozen embryo transfer medication and testing.
Follow-up
The study will track pregnancy outcomes for up to 6 months after treatment.
