Perioperative Fostamatinib for Resectable Pancreatic Cancer

This study is looking at a new way to treat pancreatic cancer that can be removed by surgery. It combines Fostamatinib, a drug approved for a different blood condition, with standard chemotherapy drugs, gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel. Researchers believe Fostamatinib might help the body's immune system fight the cancer. You might be able to join if you are at least 18 years old, have pancreatic cancer that can be surgically removed, and have a good performance status (meaning you can do most daily activities). The main goal of this study is to see if Fostamatinib with chemotherapy delays surgery. The current recruitment status is unclear.

Study design
This is a Phase 1b interventional study planning to enroll 36 participants. It is not specified if it is randomized or blinded.
What's involved
You will receive 4 cycles of treatment before surgery, followed by surgery, and then 2 cycles of treatment after surgery. You will be followed for up to 2 years after joining the study.
Compensation
Not stated in the trial record.
Follow-up
Participants will be followed long-term until death or for 2 years after enrollment, whichever comes first.
